Ten Earth Shattering Blows is a fantasy graphic novel you can read online. It contains violence and, occasionally, tits. This makes you a bad person if you enjoy it.
I do my best to post a new page every Wednesday. Your best bet for not missing an update is to follow me on social media. You can find the links in the sober giant bar above.
By the way, hi, I’m Tommaso Devitofrancesco, better known as Nuclearpasta on the web. I’m the author of this webcomic. If you’re really interested in who I am, someone had the weird idea of interviewing me. Link here.

Main characters

(Spoilers!)

LANDA’S EXPEDITION

LANDA
Lady Landabella Trastan is a noblewoman from the rich city of Vezenia. She came to the Desert to end the curse placed upon her by an “evil witch”. Or so she claims.
Currently she lost her mask and has to endure lowborn eyes looking at her face. Her dress is also ruined. Things are not going well.

JOY
Joy is a brutal warrior who acts first and thinks never. We meet her in chains, a gladiator in Don Caronja’s fortress. She escapes and kidnaps Landa, convinced that the lady can lead her to the man “with the mask that eats itself”. Why is Joy looking for him? Does it have to do with the baby she mumbles about in her sleep?

ANDER
Ander is a Seeker of Champions, a cleric looking for the heir of his god, the First Champion. Truth be told, that was barely an excuse he and his bodyguards, Durt and Luthar, used to extort money to poor people, until Landa’s curse made him think he could be on the right track.

DURT & LUTHAR
Despite Ander calling them apostles, they have no interest in his religion: they only follow him because there’s money to be made.

CONSPIRATORS

DON CARONJA
Don Caronja, The Lord of the Well, is the current ruler of an old fortress built over a water source and the head of an alliance of bandits and slavers of the desert.
He’s cunning and ruthless and addicted to bugs. Overall, a lovely person.

ARIAN
Lord Arian Cartasalva is a powerful vezenian noble, currently at the helm of a military outpost in the desert. He, Ojhen and Lorvate want to stop Landa by all means necessary. Apparently they know a lot about what’s happening, but they haven’t told everything out loud yet like b-movie villains, so the mystery remains.

OJHEN
Ojhen of the ashmen is a strange figure. He sits together with the clan leaders of Don Caronja, despite not being part of any clan, and he’s a long time ally of a vezenian nobleman, despite his humble origins.
Very few people know he’s also capable of using magic. It could be an explanation: wizardry opens a lot of doors.

LORVATE
Lord Lorvate Cormante is a Vezenian noble. His inhumanly long arms and legs seem to suggest his physique might not be entirely natural. Magic goes a long way.

DALINI
Arian’s mistress and cultist of a god we know nothing about. Ojhen doesn’t like her.

MIREBLOOM, CITY OF WHISPERS

THE ORATOR
The current ruler of Mirebloom, the City of Whispers. He hears everything and the bugs obey him.

THE ELDER
The leader of the Seekers of Champions in Mirebloom. He became the Elder when Ander’s dad was deposed by the Orator, alongside the rest of the Doctors, the previous rulers of the city.
His main strategy to restore the temple to its former glory consists in forging political alliances and ignoring Ander as much as he possibly can.

SCALY SCARL
Like his father, Scaly Scarl is a prominent member of the Flying Lizard-Men, the protectors of Mirebloom oasis. Loyal friend to Ander, Durt and Luthar. They don’t deserve him and he lets them know it.

PANCRAZIO
Count Pancrazio Midara is the head of house Midara, one of the many noble houses of the green city of Nomora. He’s currently in Mirebloom for the wedding of his daughter Pandira with the son of the Orator.

PANGRETO
Sir Pangreto Midara is the fourth son of count Pancrazio. He can’t wait to fight in the tourney to prove his might. The Elder considers him a likely candidate to become the Second Champion. Pangreto’s donation to the temple must have been substantial.

XEON
Xeon Xerxes is the only son of the Orator. He doesn’t seem happy about his wedding. He doesn’t seem happy in general.

PANDIRA
Lady Pandira Midara, 8 years old. The bride. It’s safe to assume this was a political marriage.

A MYSTERY

THE WITCH
The witch of Saltfall killed lord Trastan and cursed his daughter. That is what Landa believes, but she has yet to meet her.

THE MAN WITH THE MASK THAT EATS ITSELF
Ander, Lorvate and Ojhen know him as lord Lucio Aurodoro. They don’t like him.

ORCS
Orcs are the creatures that exit Landa’s face when her curse manifests, which seems an unpleasant experience. They speak incoherently about ten earth-shattering blows and stuff, but their words seem somehow connected to Landa, Joy and Ander at the same time. What is going on here? Is this comic pure nonsense?
